Week 5, Thursday

Today I asked myself, “What do I want to happen to my non-Christian friends?” First, do I have any? I seem to constantly come into contact with people who used to go to church and now do their own thing or simply don’t care about any of it while still acknowledging Jesus as the only way to salvation. Whether they are saved or not, who knows? But I ask myself if I only want to see people get “saved?” What does that even mean? What is salvation? Is it merely persuading them to believe in Jesus and then leave them for a new possible convert? I have concluded that life is more of a pilgrim’s progress. I will journey with those whom I come into contact with. I find that it is easier to make a friend than a convert.
