Week 10, Tuesday

I become more and more disgusted when talking about structuring and building a church. Who am I and who is anyone as a leader to “allow” a person to operate in his or her gifts within the church? The leader is still a CEO even in this type of model because he or she is the one propelling some type of vision and running the people. Many church leaders have become arrogant within their little boxes because no one challenges their ideas for the reason that they are not educated enough in the Bible to do so. Therefore, the people do not know how these leaders misrepresent and misinterpret the Bible. It seems that many people feel that the mere act of believing in Jesus credits them as a pastor and able to teach and lead other Christians.
